First stop: Pitmedden Garden and the local woodland walks
Start your visit with some fresh air at Pitmedden Garden or explore one of the nearby woodland walks. It’s a lovely area for letting little ones roam, taking in the scenery and enjoying a slower start to the day.
The routes are pram-friendly, making this an easy option when visiting with a baby, and older children have plenty of space to explore and burn off some energy.
Next stop: Refuel at Café48
After our walk, we head to Café48 to warm up and refuel - or the “toy café”, as Sophia calls it! The toys keep the girls entertained while I enjoy the food and, most importantly, one of their generously sized lattes.
My personal recommendation has to be the chilli-loaded fries with coleslaw - they are 👌🏼.
There’s so much more to love beyond the food too, including a child-friendly menu, a swap shop, book and seed swaps and the refill truck outside, which helps the local community reduce waste. It’s such a friendly, welcoming place and a really easy café to visit with little ones.
