Wild Wanderers: Seasonal Woodland Immersion Step into the trees, fire up the imagination, and let your young adventurer grow wild. Welcome to Wild Wanderers, a premium 2-hour outdoor education program hosted by Fern & Frost at the beautiful Clune Wood, Aberdeenshire (AB31 6DQ). This class is designed specifically for babies, children (0-5 years) and their adults. Our philosophy is built entirely on the concept of a prepared environment: we enrich the space, step back, and watch the magic unfold. This approach allows children the absolute autonomy to lead their own learning and test their boundaries. Grounded deeply in the core Forest School ethos, our woods are a sanctuary built on kindness, shared laughter, and community, where every child is supported to grow at their own pace. This session is thoughtfully built for the well-being of the whole family. While your children are fully supervised on their wilderness adventures, we provide a dedicated, nurturing space for parents and caregivers to completely reset. You can slide into our hammock to sway under the tree canopy, read a book, or simply close your eyes and listen to the birds. If you feel inspired, you can try your hand at low-pressure seasonal wild-crafts, from willow-weaving to wild pigment painting, all with a warm drink in hand. Alternatively, you are welcome to just sit back at our community fireside to connect, chat, and share stories with fellow adults around a peaceful, restorative campfire hearth.
